Simon Rose has been at the intersection of technology and property for over two decades. As a founding team member at carsales.com.au in 1999, he saw firsthand how the right platform could transform an entire industry. He carried that conviction into property tech in 2009, building the Commercial Property Guide portal and CRM — then took it a step further in 2020 by launching his own buyers agency. It was there he felt the gap himself: no CRM actually worked the way a buyers agent works. So he built one. BA ICON was purpose-built from the ground up — not cobbled together on GHL or Zoho — giving Simon the API flexibility to engineer exactly the workflows, integrations, and features the industry had been missing. What started as a tool for his own desk quickly proved it was solving a problem for the whole profession. By 2026, BA ICON has over 500 users across Australia and New Zealand, reshaping how buyers agents run their business.
